Defending Lung Cancer and Mesothelioma Claims Alleging That Talc Contains Asbestos: A Primer

In asbestos litigation, Plaintiffs are claiming that talc used in industrial products is “contaminated” with asbestos and causes lung cancer and mesothelioma. These claims are typically based on a misreading of high intensity microscopy. Applying generally accepted standards of mineral identification makes it clear that the “asbestos” identified by Plaintiff’s experts is really cleavage fragments of talc. This webinar is intended to acquaint members with claims that talc causes lung cancer and mesothelioma. The presenters recently were in trial in a lung cancer/ talc case.
