Golf at the Midyear Meeting
In addition to the course options available onsite at the Rancho Las Palmas Resort, the resort’s Golf Pro, Brad Goldberg, can assist you with reserving individual tee times at the following offsite golf courses. Please contact Brad directly at 760.862.4540 by Friday, January 13th and identify yourself as an IADC meeting attendee.
Desert Willow Golf Resort
Desert Willow Golf Resort is a premium public facility and offers two championship golf courses designed by Micheal Hurdzan and Dana Frey. The Firecliff course was named one of the “Places to Play” by Golf Digest. This tournament tested layout is one of only three courses in California and one of the best 50 in the United States to receive this distinction in terms of conditioning. The Mountain View course has wider fairways and limited desert waste areas than The Firecliff course, but don’t be deceived. Measuring 6,913 yards the course is rated just slightly less difficult than Firecliff. For more information go to: http://www.desertwillow.com/layout10.asp?id=186&page=4160
Mission Hills Country Club
The Mission Hills Country Club is home to three courses in one. The Arnold Palmer course is a 6,834 yard course and is a Mission Hills Country Club member favorite. The Pete Dye Challenge is a 6,955 yard design and has big waste areas and large enough bunkers to make this course a real test of skill. Finally, the Dinah Shore Tournament Course was designed by Desmond Muirhead and hosts the LPGA’s Kraft Nabisco Championship annually. It also has the distinct honor of being rated the number one course in the Coachella Valley. For more information go to: http://www.clubcorp.com/Clubs/Mission-Hills-Country-Club/Amenities/Golf
Desert Falls Country Club
Desert Falls Country Club offers beautiful desert scenery, spectacular views, and great, 18 hole, championship golf. Designed by renowned, international course designer Ron Fream, the Desert Falls’ links-style golf course is made to be enjoyed every day, while challenging the games of great pros and average golfers alike. Many consider it to be one of the best golf courses in the desert. For more information go to: http://www.clubcorp.com/Clubs/Desert-Falls-Country-Club/Amenities/Golf
