Regional Meetings
The IADC Regional Meetings offer a perfect opportunity for you to get together with IADC members in your area to network
and discuss critical local issues. The meetings are free to members and their guests. Some Regional Meeting Local Chairs have applied for CLE credit for their programs. Those Regional Meetings will indicate CLE certification.
Regional Meetings are organized by local IADC member chairs. Local IADC companies and firms sponsor the meetings
and the receptions that follow. The meetings are interesting, informative, convenient and fun.

Hong Kong - December 9, 2011
The fourth IADC Asian Regional Meeting in Hong Kong was a huge success. There were 26 people present from places as varied as Sydney, Beijing, Tokyo, London, Paris, Stuttgart, the Philippines and Vietnam as well as local lawyers. The presentations were excellent on 3 topics: (a) the common law/civil law conflict aspects of Hong Kong’s Basic Law (constitution) being interpreted by its common law courts juxtaposed with the PRC’s civil law system within the constitution of the PRC as a whole; (b) Corruption in financial services; and (c) Enforcement of arbitral awards in Asia. All the speakers were very good and there was a great deal of enthusiasm for the meeting and the IADC. Many finished the evening with a dinner and more conversation.
Thank you to Meeting Chair David Wilkinson and the sponsoring firms Clayton Utz , Hogan Lovells , Kennedys and SCP Soulie & Coste-Floret.
