Web Site
Q: How do I obtain my login name and password?
A: All members are assigned a login name and password as soon as they become a member. Your login is typically your first initial, middle initial and last name, i.e ABSMITH. Your login and password are cAsE iNsEnSiTiVe. If you do not know your login name and password, you can click from the login page to have your login and password e-mailed to you. You will need your e-mail address to use this feature, and the e-mail address you enter must match the e-mail address the IADC has on file for this feature to work. You can also e-mail
info@iadclaw.org or call the IADC office at 312.368.1494 to obtain your login and password. The IADC office is open from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Central time, Monday through Friday.

Q: How do I search for other members?
A: Once you are logged in to the IADC Web site, you will be able to search for any member's profile in the Member Directory found in the Members Only section.
Once you reach the Member Search page you will notice two options:
- Speed Search - Speed Search allows you to search specifically by name or firm name only
- Extended Search - Extended Search option allows you to expand your search to include location, practice area, and many other criteria.
Once you've selected your search option, you will be able to enter in your search criteria and click on "Search." All matching records will be listed and you can then select the one for which you were looking. If no results appear try reducing the search criteria. For example, if you entered "James Jones" in the search box, you might want to try just "Jones."

Q: How do I send a profile of a member to another person, such as a client who is looking for a lawyer with a certain specialty?
A: Once you bring up the member's profile, click on "e-mail this profile." An e-mail box will appear on your screen with the profile attached to it. You only need to type in the e-mail address of the person to whom you are sending the profile, add a message, and then click on "Submit." The recipient will receive the complete professional profile without the personal information of the member.
