IADC Member and Past President Bill Perry, who is the Senior Partner of Carter Perry Bailey LLP in London, obtained a declaration that the Court had no jurisdiction to hear a claim by a firm of solicitors for payment of fees which came to nearly £3 million, on the grounds that it was served with serious and unjustified delay outside the limitation period, the judge having refused the Plaintiff law firm permission to use evidence filed “in flagrant breach of the rules with no excuse.”
