Chris Lam, a partner at Bradley LLP, has been named managing partner of the firm’s Charlotte office, effective May 1. Mr. Lam succeeds Dana C. Lumsden as office managing partner, who led the office for almost five years and will continue his business litigation practice and leadership in the community, including with the Charlotte Ballet, for which he is the chair-elect, and the Board of Directors of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Lam is widely regarded among peers and clients for his strong track record of practice successes, leadership in the profession, and service to numerous civic and charitable organizations. He is an experienced litigator and trial lawyer who helps clients across numerous industries protect their business interests in disputes related to contracts, business torts, product liability, non-competes, trade secrets, defamation, LLCs and partnerships, and private equity investments. He practices in state and federal courts across the country, including the North Carolina Business Court.

“I am honored to succeed Dana, whose leadership brought significant growth to Bradley’s Charlotte office,” said Mr. Lam. “I look forward to further integrating Bradley into Charlotte’s business and legal community and continuing the firm’s growth, with a particular focus on corporate, real estate, and other transactional practices. We want to ensure our office continues to meet the changing needs of our clients, community, and the legal industry.”

“Under Dana’s leadership, the Charlotte office expanded and diversified its client base locally and nationally,” said Bradley Chairman of the Board and Managing Partner Beau Grenier. “We look forward to building on this momentum with Chris’ leadership and are thankful for Dana’s continued service to the firm.”

Mr. Lam is a leader in several professional and civic organizations. He is the incoming president-elect of the Mecklenburg County Bar and is co-chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Administration of Justice Committee. He also chairs the Business Litigation Committee of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), an invitation-only, peer-reviewed organization of approximately 2,500 attorneys from more than 50 countries around the world. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Visitors for Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy. Mr. Lam has been recognized in numerous leading attorney directories including The Best Lawyers in America®, Chambers USA, Super Lawyers, Legal Elite, and Benchmark Litigation.
