Marsha is the Editor and Chair of the Board of Editors for IADC's Defense Counsel Journal.

Our Summer 2024 issue focuses on Federal Rule of Evidence 702. In this issue, Eric Lasker and Joshua Leader (Editors), take us through the amendments to Rule 702 and what the Advisory Committee on Evidence Rules identified as "wayward case law." 

Through the efforts of the IADC's Rule 702 Sustainability Committee, we are presenting a comprehensive federal circuit-by-circuit guide that identifies the key "wayward cases" that may fail to meet the standards of amended Rule 702.

This was a herculean task and the guide will be enormously helpful to every practitioner who faces the issue of the admissibility of expert testimony. Thank you to Eric and Joshua and all the authors who contributed to this guide.  

This is the last issue of my time as Editor of the Defense Counsel Journal. I want to thank all the authors who have contributed to the journal over the past two years, the excellent staff of the IADC, and Editor-Elect Peter Pizzi. I am now passing the baton to Peter knowing the journal is in great hands. It has been an honor to be the Editor of the DCJ.
