Andrew Chamberlin is a trial attorney at Ellis & Winters in Greensboro with a broad national and international practice. Andrew has handled product liability, and catastrophic injury defense cases as well as the prosecution and defense of commercial, construction, and intellectual property disputes.

The International Association of Defense Counsel is truly an international organization. The past year has reminded us that we are all in this together. Regardless of where we live and work, as we enter 2021, we all face a world that has been turned upside down by a global pandemic, a looming economic crisis, and uncertain changes in the governments and institutions that have been the source of stability in the past. Though the IADC cannot solve these problems, our friendships and relationships within the organization buoy us all, and our commitment to excellence, ethical conduct, and the rule of law remain unchanged. We look forward to the time that we can gather together in person and celebrate better days. In the interim, the IADC will continue to deliver professional value and cultivate collegiality among its members. This edition of the Defense Counsel Journal is a wonderful example of that value. Thank you to the authors for their experience and dedication, and special thanks to our Editor, Christopher Parkerson, for his hard work and eloquent Editor’s Note in this edition.
