Sean C. Griffin has joined Robinson & Cole LLP as a partner in the firm’s Business Litigation Group in the Washington, District of Columbia office.
Griffin has a lengthy record of looking beyond immediate challenges to anticipate potential liabilities and compliance issues that pose threats to clients. His clients include defense contractors, manufacturers, and law firms. Griffin has prosecuted and defended complex commercial litigation and fraud cases in state and federal courts around the country. As an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), Griffin helps clients establish and maintain data security, respond to data breaches, and litigate privacy cases. He works closely with each client to implement proactive and practical data protection programs tailored to their capabilities and resources. In addition to his practice, Griffin serves as a Senior Director on the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC) Board of Directors. He is also chair of the FDCC’s Data, Breach, Privacy, and Cyber Insurance Section and vice chair of its Commercial Litigation Section. Prior to Robinson & Cole LLP, Griffin was a partner in the Washington, DC office of Dykema.
