William M. Dalehite, Jr., recently retired and former senior partner at Steen Dalehite & Pace, LLP, has been selected to the University of Mississippi Law Alumni Hall of Fame Class of 2024. The University of Mississippi Law Alumni Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding alumni of the School of Law who have, through their professional achievements and/or service to the school, brought honor to the Law School. The University of Mississippi School of Law will hold its annual Alumni Hall of Fame induction ceremony on March 23 as part of Law Alumni Weekend.

William received his B.A. degree in 1965 and his J.D. degree in 1972 from the University of Mississippi. From 1965 through 1969, he served as a United States Army infantry officer, attaining the rank of Captain and served two tours of duty in the Republic of Vietnam. He is a Diplomate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and served as the President of the Mississippi Chapter in 1999, and he is also a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is an active member of the International Association of Defense Counsel and served on its Trial Academy Faculty in 1990, as Director-Elect in 1996, and as Director in 1997. He has also served as Chairman of the Advocacy, Practice and Procedure Committee in 1991-1992. He is also a former President of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. He was selected Law Alumnus of the year in 1993 by the University of Mississippi Law Alumni Chapter. From 1991 -2006, he served as a member of the Mississippi Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Rules. He received the Mississippi Bar Association Distinguished Service Award in 2010.
