2023 INTERNATIONAL CORPORATE COUNSEL COLLEGE FILING INFORMATION

Approximately 6.0 hours of CLE credit in 60-minute states and 7.2 hours of CLE credit in 50-minute states has been requested for accreditation from all mandatory continuing legal education jurisdictions where we had registrants as of September 28. Opening Remarks, Closing Remarks, the Luncheon Speakers, the Dinner Speaker, and Breaks are not available for CLE credit.

How to Obtain CLE Credit:

*You must sign-in on the attendance sheet onsite each morning of the meeting.*

Shortly after the program, you will receive an email from CEU Institute with a link to enter your state bar information and the programs you attended. Once complete, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance with this information and instructions on the reporting requirements for the state(s) where you are licensed. The online form does include a place to enter information regarding teaching credits, etc.

IMPORTANT
The link/portal will stay open for 3 WEEKS. You MUST complete the online form by October 31st to have your credits reported.

This panel will discuss how and when in-house legal teams should play offense and be seen as value creators by shareholders. It will explain how to identify and pursue monies which may be owed to the company as a result of actions or omissions by third parties. While adapting to lower budgets and means (as discussed in panel #1), legal departments can also set recovery plans that will benefit the company and remind the worth of a strong legal team. The types of claims that can be filed to protect the company are multiple (IP rights, penalty claims, late payment claims, follow-on actions) as well as the communication around them.
