A Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee initiative supporting the continued professional advancement of IADC’s women members.
Mission Statement
The purpose of The Empowerment Collaborative (TEC) is to provide specialized support through the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Subcommittee to enhance the development of skills, professionalism, and camaraderie of IADC’s women members in order to further facilitate their continued personal and professional success.
To accomplish this mission, we are committed to:
- Providing programming that will address issues unique to women lawyers and assist with the identification of solutions to those issues;
- Showcasing the skills, experience, and accomplishments of IADC’s women lawyers;
- Creating and facilitating networking events that will allow for the development of stronger and deeper ties within the IADC;
- Partnering with our IADC male colleagues to share experiences and discuss mentoring, sponsorship, and how men can best support women in the profession;
- Celebrating the growing presence of women decision makers in law; and
- Assisting IADC’s Membership Committee with attracting, retaining, and advancing talented women to become and remain active members of IADC.
