Amy M. Stewart, Founding Partner of Stewart Law Group PLLC, has been elected Vice Chair of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section. The ABA, the largest association for litigators and trial lawyers in the country, is committed to promoting the rule of law, leading on ethical standards, and ensuring access to justice for all. From a practical level, the Section provides invaluable CLEs and business development opportunities so members
can thrive in the legal profession by developing the knowledge and relationships critical to building a successful career.

Amy joined the Section’s Business Torts and Unfair Competition Committee beginning in 2012. Reflecting on her early legal career, Amy recalls, “When I was a young associate at Cox Smith, now Dykema, two of the firm’s partners, Marty Truss and Deborah Williamson, ‘volun-told’ me to get involved with the Section.” Amy helped the Business Torts Committee publish substantive CLEs and articles on various commercial litigation topics. She led the Committee to become the
first in the Section to have a social media presence to highlight member benefits. “Following Marty and Deborah’s advice to join the Section was one of the best professional decisions I made as a young attorney. Section leaders welcomed me, offered opportunities to grow as a leader, and provided exceptional resources and networking opportunities. Also, I am honored to follow in the footsteps of my mentors, United States Senior District Judge, the Honorable Barbara MG Lynn, and DLA Piper’s trailblazing Partner Kim Askew, to lead the Section.”

Amy is excited to host three major conferences during her tenure: the Professional Success Summit in November 2026, the Insurance Coverage Litigation CLE in Tucson in March 2027, and the Section Annual Meeting in May 2027.
