Amy M. Stewart, Founding Partner of Stewart Law Group PLLC, has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Terry Lee Grantham Memorial Award from the Texas Bar Foundation.

The Terry Lee Grantham Memorial Award was endowed through the Texas Bar Foundation in 2014 by family and friends in honor of Terry Lee Grantham. Given annually, this award recognizes an outstanding Texas lawyer who exemplifies Mr. Grantham’s dedication, talent, and commitment to the profession and those it serves. It celebrates his legacy as a devoted practitioner and passionate advocate.

Amy is a distinguished business trial attorney and Founder of the only minority and woman-owned business litigation defense firm in Texas, Stewart Law Group. Recognized by Texas Lawyer in 2022 as one of the top three attorneys in Texas, Amy represents multiple Fortune 100 clients in business litigation matters across the country. In 2020, Amy made history conducting the country’s first-ever Zoom summary trial. Amy has served in leadership roles for the State Bar of Texas Litigation Section, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and Dallas Bar Association. On deck in 2026, Amy will become the Chair of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Section, leading the nation’s largest association of litigators in the world.

What sets Amy apart is her commitment to servant leadership. Since her firm’s inception, the firm has participated annually in Dallas Communities Foundation of Texas’s 9/11 Day of Service to create care packages for first responders and military service members. The pandemic did not slow Amy’s efforts down to help others, even from a distance. During 2020 – 2022, Amy co-chaired the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program’s fundraising initiative, created and hosted the Dallas Bar’s ‘Rona Talks, a weekly program where Amy “zoomed” into Dallas Bar members’ homes to discuss hot legal topics with local leaders, led the Texas Bar Foundation’s District 6 Nominating Committee’s efforts and joined the Board of Directors for Girls, Inc. and the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum.

In her free time, Amy mentors young women lawyers across the state by speaking annually at Bexar County LEAD Academy and Dallas Bar’s We Lead Program—initiatives focused on mentoring the next generation of legal leaders, who happen to be women.

Amy will be publicly recognized at the Texas Bar Foundation Annual Dinner held on June 20, 2025, at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort in San Antonio,Texas. Texas Tech University School of Law will receive $5,000 in honor of Amy's receipt of the Terry Lee Grantham Memorial Award.

Becoming a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a member of the State Bar of Texas. Less than one percent of Texas attorneys are invited to join each year, acknowledging their significant contributions to the legal profession and their dedication to service.
