The IADC is pleased to announce Brandee J. Kowalzyk and Whitney Frazier Watt as Co-Chairs of the brand-new Product Liability Roundtable. This full-day specialty roundtable, sponsored jointly by the Product Liability Committee and Drug, Device and Biotechnology Committee, creates a forum for in-house counsel and outside counsel to learn together and discuss new developments in the product liability arena. Roundtable participants are able to network with lawyers from multiple jurisdictions both during the program and at a concluding reception.

Brandee Kowalzyk is a partner in the Atlanta office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, where she has defended product manufacturers for nearly 20 years. Brandee previously served as the Chair of the IADC Drug, Device, and Biotechnology Committee and is a frequent speaker on topics related to the defense of product liability claims involving medical products and a variety of DEI issues. Brandee was a member of the 2022 IADC Trial Academy Faculty as well. She is an enrolled member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe (Chippewa), and she has served as a Court of Appeals Judge for the Band since 2017.

Whitney Frazier Watt is a partner in the Louisville, Kentucky office of Stites & Harbison. She has a wide-ranging litigation practice that includes product liability, toxic torts, mass actions, transportation, and commercial disputes. Whitney is currently serving as Chair of the IADC Product Liability Committee. She has been a member of the IADC since 2014 and has written and spoken on topics ranging from discovery strategies to PFAS to nuclear verdicts. Whitney is a past Chair of IADC’s Empowerment Collaborative and the ABA’s Women in Product Liability Subcommittee.
