Christopher A. Kenney Named President of Massachusetts Bar Association

Attorney Christopher A. Kenney, a founding member and managing shareholder of Kenney & Sams PC in Boston, has been elected president of the Massachusetts Bar Association for its 2018-19 year, beginning on September 1.

During his year as president, Kenney will seek to strengthen the MBA’s role as a partner to the legal profession, and promote civics and civic responsibility in Massachusetts through education, empowerment and engagement. 

Chris is a nationally recognized trial lawyer who has successfully tried cases before every level of the state and federal trial court system in Massachusetts. He previously served as a Special Assistant Attorney General representing the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and now serves as New England regional trial counsel for several major corporations. Mr. Kenney has been recognized in Boston Magazine as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Massachusetts; he was named the Massachusetts Defense Lawyer of the Year in 2012, and has been listed in every edition of the Best Lawyers in America since 2009. In 2011, Mr. Kenney served on the faculty of the IADC Trial Academy and he previously served for three years on the Board of Directors of DRI. He is a graduate of The College of the Holy Cross – 1987 B.A. (NCAA Scholarship) and Boston University School of Law – 1990 (Paul J. Liacos Scholar).
