M.C. Sungaila, Orange County and Los Angeles appellate partner of Snell & Wilmer, has been named to the Daily Journal’s 2015 list of Top Women Lawyers. Ms. Sungaila is making her sixth consecutive appearance on the list (her seventh since the list’s inception in 2005). In a special issue published on May 13, 2015, the Daily Journal recognized 75 litigators and 25 corporate transactions and regulatory specialists who exemplify excellent lawyering and leadership skills in California, and whose work is having a broad impact on the legal community, the nation and society. Those named to the list were honored at a private awards reception in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
Ms. Sungaila has consistently briefed and argued cutting-edge appeals raising core business issues and has helped secure important rights for women and girls, nationally and internationally. Described by clients in her “Notable Appellate Practitioner” Chambers listings as a “gifted appellate lawyer who consistently delivers bottom line results” and “advise[s] on the business side just as well as she does on the legal side,” Ms. Sungaila received a 2015 California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (CLAY) award from California Lawyer Magazine for her path-breaking franchise win on behalf of Domino’s Pizza in the California Supreme Court and the 2015 Attorney of the Year Award from the OC Hispanic Bar Association for her longtime pro bono appellate work.
