Dana Lumsden Receives 2019 Diversity and Inclusion Award from North and South Carolina Lawyers Weekly

Dana C. Lumsden, a partner in the Charlotte office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP, is among the recipients of the 2019 Diversity and Inclusion Award from the North Carolina and South Carolina Lawyers Weekly publications.

Mr. Lumsden and other recipients were formally recognized December 11 at an awards event at the Hilton Charlotte University Place hotel.

Decided by a Lawyers Weekly panel of judges, the awards recognize attorneys, firms, and organizations that significantly advance diversity, inclusion, and the dignity of people in the Carolinas’ legal profession and whose exceptional legal work impacts justice for all. North Carolina and South Carolina Lawyers Weekly are the leading legal industry trade publications in the states.

A member of Bradley’s Banking and Financial Services, Litigation and Intellectual Property practice groups, Mr. Lumsden focuses his practice on business litigation, including intellectual property disputes, securities litigation, investigations and enforcement proceedings, and the resolution of regulatory controversies concerning the consumer financial services industry. He advises and represents domestic and international companies, including some of the world’s largest financial institutions and manufacturers. In class action matters, he has successfully defended clients in putative class actions involving ERISA, securities, banking, and consumer finance claims. In addition, he advises clients in the assessment of litigation risk.

Mr. Lumsden’s professional and civic involvements include work for and leadership on committees for the International Association of Defense Counsel, North Carolina Bar Association, and Mecklenburg County Bar. In addition, he is a member of the board of the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance and is president-elect of the Board of Trustees of the Charlotte Ballet.
