Daniel J. Scully, Jr. to Receive Prestigious Richard B. Baxter Trial Lawyer of the Year Award from the American Board of Trial Advocates

DETROIT, MICH. – Daniel Scully of Clark Hill will be presented with the Richard B. Baxter Trial Lawyer of the Year Award by the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) on November 30, in Detroit, Michigan. He is one of only six attorneys to receive the award since the ABOTA Michigan Chapter formed 24 years ago. The Baxter Award is reserved for the preeminent Michigan trial lawyer who best exemplifies the tradition of civility and integrity in the legal profession.

Scully is a member of Clark Hill’s Litigation Practice Group and is resident in the firm’s Detroit office. His practice is focused on the defense of complex commercial and product liability litigation. He represents several major manufacturers in litigation pending in Michigan, throughout the Midwest and nationally.

Scully is admitted to practice in California, Michigan, New York, and Illinois, as well as several U.S. District Courts and Courts of Appeal. He has tried cases to verdict in 16 states. Scully is a member of ABOTA’s National Board of Directors, a Fellow of The International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is listed in Best Lawyers, “The Best In The U.S.,” Crain’s Detroit Business Top Lawyers and Michigan Super Lawyers. Scully has twice been a facility member of the ABA TIPS Trial Academy and is a past facility member and Director of the International Association of Defense Counsel’s Trial Academy.
