Elizabeth Sorenson Brotten
Elizabeth Sorenson Brotten, a partner at Foley & Mansfield, PLLP, has been elected as President of the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA). Liz has previously chaired MDLA’s Products Liability committee, and co-founded its Women in the Law Committee.
Liz is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and Chair of the firm’s Product Liability Practice Group. She devotes her practice to defending product manufacturers, suppliers, and installers in high-risk product liability and toxic tort cases, particularly asbestos, benzene, and Legionnaire’s Disease cases throughout the upper Midwest. In addition to her role with MDLA, Liz serves on the Defense Research Institute’s Women in the Law and Toxic Tort and Environmental Law national steering committees. She serves as the In-House and Law Firm Management Committee Chair for the IADC.
