Since the Hamas’ terrorist attack on October 7, the world has witnessed a 316% increase in antisemitic acts and rhetoric compared to the same period last year, according to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). This last month, the ADL Center on Extremism reported an average of nearly 28 antisemitic incidents of assault, vandalism, and harassment per day. In a recent poll, 70% of Americans (not just Jewish people) identified increasing antisemitism as a current problem.
Our panelists and moderator will share personal perspectives and concrete action items that will include steps that can be taken by our Jewish and non-Jewish colleagues. This will allow us all to cultivate more accepting, welcoming social spaces and identify actions that will support our Jewish colleagues in this distressing period of history.
The Active Ally series strives to promote civil dialogue on complex issues and a deeper understanding of the perspectives of our colleagues from all nationalities, religions, ethnicities, and minority groups.
