Continuing an IADC Conversation About Becoming an Active Ally with a Focus on Latinx Allyship: How to Get Involved, Stay Involved, and Educate Others About Racial and Social Injustice

Thursday, August 13, 2020
01:30 PM - 02:30 PM

United States

Please join the IADC Diversity and Inclusion Committee for a panel discussion.

Join the IADC at 1:30 p.m. CDT on Thursday, August 13 for a continuation of our previous diversity and inclusion discussion focusing on identifying ways each of us can become more than allies in the fight for racial equality and social justice. While we have started to explore how we can become allies to our black friends and colleagues, this week’s discussion will focus on the experiences of members of the Latinx community so we can ensure that multiple voices are heard and we can identify ways to further build relationships across our differences. Our panelists will share personal stories and concrete action items that will include steps you can take to educate yourself and to make changes in your workplace, your community, and the organizations that you support, toward ending racism and social inequality.
