Join Bob and Suzanne Craig on Wednesday, December 8 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. CST for a fun demonstration of Alexandra Simotta’s Austrian Linzer Cake. The recipe will be included in your confirmation or you can find it on page 196 of the cookbook. You can cook along or just grab coffee or a cocktail and relax and watch the demonstration. The event will be through Zoom and will last one hour.
Bob is Managing Director and Associate General Counsel for Berkeley Research Group, LLC.
A few notes on the recipe for those who want to bake along:
It is a three step process so you can’t do it all at once. Bob’s recommendation is that people try to get the ingredients together to be ready to put the cake together. We will be doing that first.
Then we can let it rest (recommended 2 hours to overnight) -- take the rested flour/ingredients and put into a pan, fill, and bake it after the event.
Bob also notes some of the ingredients may be a little hard to find in local US grocery stores:
- Bourbon vanilla sugar (they made their own)
- Hazelnuts (they had to order from Amazon, but used pecans the first time they made the cake)
- Red currant jelly (they used black currant in first cake, now have red currant)
