Cooking and Conversation with Donna and Joe Burden

Friday, July 31, 2020
06:00 PM - 08:00 PM

United States

The IADC Foundation kicks off its Cooking and Conversation series where members and family will be hosting casual virtual get togethers where attendees will make recipes from the new IADC Foundation cookbook.

Join Donna and Joe Burden on Friday, July 31 at 6 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. CDT for our first Cooking and Conversation!

Donna and Joe will be cooking two light, delicious and simple appetizer recipes that will kick off any summer party right. We’ll be making Grilled Thai Shrimp with Peanut Sauce and Brie and Raspberry Phyllo Tarts. They also will do a bonus demo of Donna Lamontagne and Tom Patriarca’s “Nana Patriarca’s Italian Pizelles.” Recipes will be sent to registrants in advance, so you can participate even if you haven’t yet purchased an IADC Foundation cookbook. (You are definitely going to want this gem of a cookbook though, so to order your copy of International Accumulation of Delightful Cuisine, click here.)

Register above; maximum attendance is 12 Zoom connections - feel free to have as many folks in your kitchen participating as you like!

If you have questions about the event, please contact Mary Beth Kurzak at mkurzak@iadclaw.org.

The IADC Foundation is kicking off its Cooking and Conversation series! Over the next few months, members and family will be hosting casual virtual get togethers where we will make recipes from the new IADC Foundation cookbook, International Accumulation of Delightful Cuisine. Each cooking Zoom will feature an IADC member and/or family member who will lead the demonstration of the recipe(s) that will be circulated in advance. Attendees are invited to cook along, or make the recipe in advance and enjoy while chatting. If you aren’t a cook, don’t worry! You can just watch the demo and enjoy getting to know other members.

Each Cooking and Conversation will have a limited registration so that they are cozy and casual and allow for good group interaction. You know when you have a party and everyone ends up chatting and laughing over food in the kitchen? It will be like that but virtual!

There is no registration fee, but since registration is limited, please only sign up if you know you can attend so you don’t take a spot from someone who wants to come. If you don’t make it into this first event, we’ll be having many others over the next few months by members from around the world on a variety of days and times. Keep a lookout in the IADC News email on Mondays and our event reminder email on Thursdays.
