Do I Need a License for That?

Music breathes life into presentations, advertising, programs, webinars, and social media posts, but most people don’t know if and when they need a license to use that music. This program will explore music licenses, how to decide if you need a license, what kind of license you may need and how to obtain them, and how they work (sync rights vs. performance rights, etc.).

Takeaways:

  • Attendees will receive a broad overview of copyrights for music, as well as photographs and images. They will get a lesson in what is really fair use; when they need a license and when they don't; and how to obtain a license to avoid an unexpected cease and desist letter from the copyright owner.

PRESENTERS:
Jennifer Haltom Doan, Haltom & Doan, Texarkana, Texas USA
Sandra J. Wunderlich, Tucker Ellis LLP, Saint Louis, Missouri USA
