Holiday Classics and Employment Law: Lessons Learned

Using video clips from holiday movies like It's a Wonderful Life, Rudolph, The Santa Clause, Scrooged, and the like, this will be a humorous review of the terrible employment law practices on display in these movies. From Santa's workshop to Scrooge's office to the Bailey Savings and Loan, holiday cheer seems to fly out of these boss' minds in the way they treat their employees.

Takeaways:

  • Even if holiday movies are made for entertainment purposes, they can present instructive situations.
  • Employment law situations are pervasive in these movies, for some reason.
  • Employment law problems are even more pervasive!

PRESENTERS:
Jeffrey M. Beemer
, Dickinson Wright, PLLC, Nashville, Tennessee USA
Thomas M. Buckley, Goldberg Segalla, LLP, Raleigh, North Carolina USA
