I Am Why Reclaiming the Lens: How Young Women are Leading the Way to Justice
I Am Why, funded in part by an IADC Foundation grant, aims to increase the individual and collective power of young women and gender expansive activists, and catalyze a power shift whereby young activists share power with allies and systems to create policies, practices, and programs that center self-determination and justice. Through our book, I Am Why Reclaiming the Lens, our workshops, and our partnerships, we aim to use power with intentionality and authenticity, and to ensure that people who have been marginalized can reclaim their narrative, use their voice, and hold meaningful power within conventional systems. In this Webinar, we will tell the story of I Am Why—a young and powerful organization—and explore the connections between narrative and power in the context of I Am Why’s theory of change. Join us and learn more about this important work. iamwhy.org; @iamwhyjustice
