Join the IADC on Tuesday, June 14 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. CDT for a panel discussion.

The Mansfield Rule was launched to boost the representation of diverse lawyers in law firm and corporate leadership by broadening the pool of candidates considered for these opportunities. Indeed, the Rule challenges law firms and companies to measure whether they have affirmatively considered at least a certain percentage of women, lawyers of color, LGBTQ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and senior lateral positions. The Rule’s elements and operations are grounded in behavioral science research which researchers have found is the critical mass necessary to disrupt biases.

Since the Mansfield Rule’s launch three years ago, Diversity Lab has worked with hundreds of law firms and companies to annually measure the outcomes of the Rule’s application in their respective hiring and promotions processes as the organizations work towards achieving Mansfield Certification. Join our distinguished panel as they discuss the goals of the Rule, the certification process, and the DEI impact experienced by these organizations who have made the commitment.
