Four IADC members have been named Canada’s Most Influential Class Action Defense Lawyers of 2023 by Business Today

In Canada, some of the largest cases are fought by litigation teams specializing in dispute resolution: class action (defense). Among the most significant players in this field are expert solicitors who work tirelessly to protect their clients. Here, we present some of these outstanding lawyers and the firms in which they practice. Tim Pinos is a partner in the Litigation Group at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP in Toronto. Tim has been certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Civil Litigation. In the course of his wide-ranging commercial litigation practice, Tim has built up substantial expertise in complex litigation and class action issues, including in the areas of copyright and intellectual property litigation. 

Sylvie Rodrigue is a managing partner of Torys LLP in Montréal. She is known nationwide for her strong class action, product liability, and commercial disputes experience, and she is one of the few counsel in Canada who defends cases in both Québec and common law provinces.

James Sullivan, KC is a partner at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP in Vancouver, with experience in a wide range of complex litigation matters.
