James H. Holmes Selected as a Texas Super Lawyer

James H. Holmes, III, partner with Burford & Ryburn, L.L.P. in Dallas, has been selected for inclusion on the Texas Super Lawyers 2011 list, published by Thomson Reuters, Legal Division. James H. Holmes, III was selected as a Texas Super Lawyer in the area of Civil Litigation Defense Law.

James H. “Blackie” Holmes has successfully obtained numerous defense jury verdicts, summary judgments, and when appropriate, negotiated favorable settlements for his clients. His returns have been in his long-term and highly loyal relationships with clients. Blackie Holmes joined Burford & Ryburn, L.L.P. in 1962. Over the past half-century, he has worked to promote professionalism among Texas lawyers.

Two other Burford & Ryburn, L.L.P. attorneys were also selected as 2011 Texas Super Lawyers. Robert F. Begert was selected as a Texas Super Lawyer in the area of Professional Liability: Defense Law, and Mr. Stephen N. Wakefield was selected as a Texas Super Lawyer in the area of Employment and Labor Law.
