Jennifer Snyder Heis Appointed to Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio Advisory Board

Ulmer & Berne LLP partner Jennifer Snyder Heis, has been appointed to Grow PBPO, an advisory board to Pro Bono Partnership of Ohio (PBPO) that enhances and increases the organization’s impact.

Heis will serve on the board where she will work to build and secure the resources necessary to continue PBPO’s service in the Cincinnati and Dayton communities. In this role, she will also support PBPO’s mission and utilize her skills and abilities to plan and execute events to improve community engagement with the organization.

Heis focuses her practice in the areas of product liability and pharmaceutical, medical device, and mass tort litigation. She has more than 20 years of experience defending manufacturers and distributors of pharmaceutical products and dietary supplements and has represented these companies in complex litigation across the country including in individual suits, consolidated state court proceedings, and multidistrict litigation. She focuses on developing effective legal strategies for the defense of related lawsuits in multiple venues and is experienced in handling all aspects of state and federal litigation including trial. 

Adding to her successful practice, Heis is a longtime member and leader of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), the nation’s leading organization of defense attorneys and in-house counsel. She helps lead DRI’s Product Liability and Drug & Medical Device Committees, and will serve as Chair of DRI’s national Drug & Medical Device Seminar in 2022 and 2023 after serving for two years as the seminar’s Vice Chair. She also previously served on the Grant Review Committee of Impact 100, a group that offers transformational grants to nonprofits in the Cincinnati area.

Since its founding in 2015, PBPO has empowered more than 700 attorney volunteers to donate their time and talents to nonprofit social service organizations in the Cincinnati and Dayton areas. Handling over 1,600 unique legal matters for nearly 250 nonprofit organizations.
