Kevin C. Schiferl, an attorney at Frost Brown Todd, is a 2010 recipient of the Distinguished Hoosier award. The Distinguished Hoosier is one of the highest awards given by the state of Indiana to its citizens. It is given at the discretion of the governor to Hoosiers who have brought honor to the state through their character and accomplishments. Chief Justice Randall Shepard presented the award to Mr. Schiferl at a recent ceremony in Zionsville.

Mr. Schiferl received the award for recognition of his service over the last several years on the Government Reorganization Committee. The committee's work resulted in the first combination in Indiana of three units of government into one, thus streamlining governance, eliminating waste, and promoting tax efficiencies.

Mr. Schiferl is a trial attorney concentrating his practice in product liability litigation and mass tort, defending corporations and individuals in personal injury claims involving automobiles and other consumer products. He is also engaged in the defense of professional liability and business claims.
With over seventy-five (75) jury trials and hundreds of bench trials and hearings, Mr. Schiferl is one of Indiana’s most active litigators. Beyond his trial work, he maintains an active appellate practice, having had involvement in over fifty (50) published cases from Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, West Virginia and Texas.
