The Defense Research Institute presented its 2015 Sheryl J. Willert Pioneer Diversity Award to Larry D. Smith, Partner at Southern Trial Counsel PLC, in Chicago on June 11.
With more than 22,000 members, DRI is the largest and one of the leading international organizations of defense attorneys and In-house counsel involved in civil defense litigation. The Willert Pioneer Diversity Award is given to an individual who, among other things, has “demonstrated dedication and commitment to advocating diversity in the legal profession through activity that has a visible, tangible, or measurable impact on the perception of, attitude toward, respect for, and treatment of other persons.”
