IADC member Lee T. Clanton and Ed Payne, Partners at Porterfield, Harper, Mills, Motlow & Ireland in Birmingham, Alabama, recently obtained a defense verdict on behalf of their client, an ER physician, in a wrongful death case. The plaintiff's claim in the case was that the physician negligently failed to give TPA to a patient who presented with signs and symptoms of a stroke. The case was tried in the circuit court of Etowah County, Alabama.
