M.C. Sungaila Named To Top Women Lawyers List by Daily Journal

Snell & Wilmer partner Mary-Christine "M.C." Sungaila has been named to the Daily Journal's 2013 list of Top Women Lawyers. In a special issue published on May 8, 2013, the Daily Journal recognized 75 litigators and 25 corporate transactions and regulatory specialists who exemplify excellent lawyering and leadership skills in California, and whose work is having a broad impact on the legal community, the nation, and society. Those named to the list were honored at a private awards reception in Los Angeles on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

M.C. Sungaila, appellate and commercial litigation partner, has briefed and argued appeals and business issues statewide as well as nationally and internationally. Sungaila is making her fourth consecutive appearance on this list (her fifth since the list's inception in 2005) and was recently named one of The Recorder's Women Leaders in Law for 2013. She is a board member for Coastline Community College Foundation, a state representative in Justice Sandra Day O'Connor's iCivics program, and a member of the RAND Institute for Civil Justice Board of Overseers. She has received multiple awards and recognition for her work, including being honored as a "Notable Appellate Practitioner" by Chambers U.S.A., and was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award by the Women Lawyers' Association of Los Angeles.
