Michele Smith President of Jefferson County Bar Association

Michele Smith officially took office as President of the Jefferson County Bar Association at the Annual Meeting and Law Day Ceremony. Michele served as President of the Jefferson County Young Lawyers Association from 2000-2001. She is a shareholder with the firm and currently serves on the firm’s Management Committee.

Michele represents clients in general civil litigation, with a concentration in complex mass tort litigation (asbestos, benzene, butadiene) and products liability. She has handled matters in state and federal court involving products and premise liability, nursing home litigation and pharmaceutical defense.

Michele is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is an advocate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), Houston Chapter and serves on the Executive Committee as Treasurer for the Texas Association of Defense Counsel. Michele received a BBA in Accounting from Lamar University in 1988 and a J.D. from Baylor University School of Law in 1992.
