Michele Y. Smith Is Named Executive Vice President of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel

Michele Y. Smith has been named Executive Vice President of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel for 2012-2013 and will serve as President of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel for the term of 2014-2015. The slate of new officers was announced at the Annual Meeting in September. The TADC is one of the largest professional associations of Commercial Litigation, Business Defense, and Personal Injury defense attorneys in the United States with a membership of approximately 1,700 attorneys.
 
Michele has more than 19 years of diverse jury trial experience and is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She has been a shareholder with the firm since 1999 and currently serves on the firm's Management Committee. She is an Advocate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), Houston Chapter and serves on the Pattern Jury Charge Committee in Products Liability for the State Bar of Texas. Michele has been named in Best Lawyers in America in Personal Injury Litigation-Defendants and Product Liability-Defendants for 2013.
