Monica A. Frois Named to CityBusiness 2010 Women of the Year

Monica A. Frois, of the law firm Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, has been named to the New Orleans CityBusiness 2010 list of Women of the Year. The annual list honors 50 New Orleans women who have achieved outstanding successes in business and have made significant contributions to the New Orleans community.

A shareholder in the Firm's New Orleans office, Ms. Frois has 20 years of experience in health care matters as well as complex litigation, insurance issues, legal ethics and professional responsibility litigation. She represents hospitals, physicians, nursing homes and other health care providers in operational, compliance, regulatory and transactional issues as well as a wide variety of litigation. She has served on the Medical/Legal Interprofessional Committee of the Louisiana State Medical Society and the Louisiana State Bar Association and was recently appointed Vice Chair of Membership for the Medical Defense & Health Law Committee of the International Association of Defense Counsel. Ms. Frois has been recognized as a leading attorney in her field by The Best Lawyers in America® and Louisiana Super Lawyers, has been named to the list of "Top Lawyers" by New Orleans magazine since 2007, and holds an AV® Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible recognition for legal ability and ethical standards.
