Patricia Dodge and Russell Ober, Jr. Receive $100 Million Verdict

May 10, 2011 03:44 PM

We represented two affiliates of Allegheny Energy, Inc. which entered into a long term coal supply contract with units of International Coal Group. The coal companies failed to deliver the quantities of coal promised, and our clients had to buy replacement coal on the open market at higher prices. We filed suit to recover the additional cost and, after a 3½ week trial, the court awarded our client damages of $104.1 million.
