IADC member Paul Mogin recently authored an article for The Champion, the magazine of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. 

The article titled "Justice Scalia and the Interpretation of Criminal Statutes" appears in the September/October 2018 issue and can be found here.

Paul is Senior Counsel at Williams & Connolly LLP in Washington, DC. Highlighted for his appellate work in the 2012 edition of The Legal 500 United States, he has argued a leading case under the mail fraud statute, Cleveland v. United States, 531 U.S. 12 (2000), and has briefed or argued successful criminal appeals in the District of Columbia, Second, Fourth, and Sixth Circuits. Mogin has also had extensive experience in civil litigation. A member of the American Law Institute and a former law clerk to Justice Thurgood Marshall and Judge Henry Friendly, he has published articles in The University of Chicago Law Review; University of Denver Criminal Law Review; American Criminal Law Review; In Brief, the online companion to the Virginia Law Review; the National Law Journal; and The Champion, the magazine of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
