Professional Liability Roundtable to Address Attorney Liability to Non-clients in the Wills, Estates and Trust Context

Attorneys engaged in the practice of wills, trusts and estates who were once shielded from liability from claims by non-clients due to lack of privity are now, in the majority of states, subject to liability for professional negligence to third-party beneficiaries. We will examine pertinent case law, trends and defenses. Factors leading to exposure to such claims will also be discussed.
