E-cigarette use has skyrocketed in recent years, resulting in a host of legal issues, from claims related to deceptive marketing practices, to product liability claims related to exploding e-cigarette devices, to an outbreak of acute lungrelated injuries that began to emerge in mid-2019. While the long-term health effects of e-cigarette use remain to be seen, this product has all of the makings for the next mass toxic tort.
