IADC Past President (1998-99) Rex Linder, Senior Counsel at Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen, P.C., was honored and roasted on September 26 at the Peoria Civic Center.
Approximately 400 people attended the “Mayor’s Roast of Rex Linder.”
Roasters included former Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood; recently retired Chairman of Caterpillar Inc. Doug Oberhelman and his wife Diane; Federal Judge James Shadid; Dean of the University of Illinois College of Medicine Dr. Sarah Rusch; Mayor Jim Ardis; among some others.
Several IADC members and Past Presidents were in attendance – Andy and Lynn Kopon, Rob Hunter, Will Cleveland, Brad Ingram, and Mark Hansen.
Proceeds raised from the event totaled more than $160,000 for two charities – Mark Linder Walk for the Mind and Children’s Hospital of Illinois.
