The IADC Social Media Task Force will partner with IADC Committees to present a webinar series on Social Media. In the first installment of this series, co-sponsored by the Technology Committee, the basics of three powerful and popular social media tools -- LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter will be addressed. Three experienced IADC members will discuss the merits and differences among LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter and then walk you through the set-up and use of each these sites. The panel will discuss time considerations, the importance of privacy settings, and simple ways even the most inexperienced users can greatly enhance a legal practice by using these tools.

Part 2, co-sponsored by the Professional Liability Committee, will address legal ethics in social media on April 27, 2010. Part 3, co-sponsored by the Technology and Insurance and Reinsurance Committees, will address the use of social media in client development and marketing on May 29, 2010. Finally, Part 4, co-sponsored by the Drug, Device and Biotechnology Committee, will address the use of social media in trial and discovery (date TBA).
