The IADC is pleased to announce that the leaders of our CLE planning for the 2025 year include Stephen Zralek and Brandee Kowalzyk.

Stephen Zralek is leading the CLE at the 2025 Midyear Meeting, held February 9 to 14 at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club in Dana Point, California USA; Brandee Kowalzyk is leading the CLE at the 2025 Annual Meeting, held July 5 to 10 at the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac in Québec, Québec Canada.

If you have ideas about CLE topics or speakers, please let them know.

Stephen Zralek is a partner in the Nashville office of Spencer Fane LLP where he helps clients resolve intellectual property and business disputes. He joined the IADC in 2020 and served on the 2022 Midyear Meeting CLE Steering Committee and the 2024 Midyear Meeting General Convention Committee. He currently chairs the IADC’s Intellectual Property Committee and won the IADC’s 2023 President’s Award.

Previously, Stephen chaired the ABA Copyright Litigation Committee and served as a board member of the Nashville Bar Association. He has chaired the boards of Conexión Americas, Nashville for All of Us, Family & Children’s Service, and St. Bernard Academy, and served on the boards of the Sexual Assault Center and the Leadership Nashville Alumni Association. He and his wife Jamaica, an interior designer, regularly attend IADC meetings with their two children, Marlowe and Owen. He is actively trying to get all of them to play more pickleball.

Brandee Kowalzyk is a partner in the Atlanta office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, where she has defended product manufacturers for nearly 20 years. Brandee currently serves as the Chair of the IADC Drug, Device, and Biotechnology Committee and is a frequent speaker on topics related to the defense of product liability claims involving medical products and a variety of DEI issues. Brandee was a member of the 2022 IADC Trial Academy Faculty as well. She is an enrolled member of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe (Chippewa), and she has served as a Court of Appeals Judge for the Band since 2017.

We are so pleased to have Stephen and Brandee give their time, talent, and energy and thank them in advance for all of their efforts for the continuing legal education in 2025.
