The Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, P.C., Chief Justice of Canada -- Special Luncheon Speaker at the Annual Meeting

The IADC is extremely honored to welcome The Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin,
P.C., Chief Justice of Canada as our special luncheon speaker. After a career as a lawyer in private practice, a law professor, and a trial and appellate judge, Chief Justice McLachlin was sworn in as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada in April 1989. On January 7, 2000, she was appointed Chief Justice of Canada. She is the first woman in Canada to hold this position.
