Thomas Rouhette has been appointed President of the Superior Appeals Commission of the French Football Federation (FFF) by the FFF's Executive Committee.

Thomas was called to the Paris Bar in 1992 and heads the Litigation practice of Hogan Lovells' Paris office, which is one of the largest in Paris.

The Superior Appeals Commission of the FFF has jurisdiction to rule on appeals lodged against the decisions of the Disciplinary Commissions of the FFF and of the Professional Football League as well as some decisions of the Disciplinary Commissions of the regional leagues. It also has jurisdiction to rule on general appeals against the decisions of the other Federal Commissions.

This appointment became effective on July 1, 2013 and will last for four years.

It is a recognition of the involvement of the members of Hogan Lovells within the civil society and of the reputation of its Litigation practice.
