William Dalehite Jr. Honored for Distinguished Service to the Bar

The Mississippi Bar presented William M. Dalehite Jr. with the 2009-2010 Distinguished Service Award during the Mississippi Bar's 2010 annual meeting.

Each year the bar honors certain individuals who demonstrate outstanding service to the Bar. Through their work and contributions, these individuals advance the purposes of the Bar and demonstrate to the public the legal profession’s commitment to service.

Dalehite is a partner in the law firm of Steel Dalehite and Pace, LLP. He received his law degree from the University of Mississippi in 1972 and was selected as Law Alumnus of the Year in 1993 by the University of Mississippi Law Alumni Chapter. He has served as president of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. He is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and is a diplomat with the American Board of Trial Advocates, and is a former president of the Mississippi chapter.

For 15 years, he served as a member of the Mississippi Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Rule and was chairman of the Subcommittee on Rules of Civil Procedure.
