Chevron Deference. The Path Forward.
The End of Chevron Deference. What does it mean? We will explore the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, which overturned the 40-year-old Chevron doctrine, ending the Court’s requirement to defer to “reasonable” agency interpretations of relevant statutes. We will discuss the consequences of this decision on federal agencies and regulated entities. Will the groundbreaking ruling create gridlock by encouraging litigation challenging agency actions and regulations?
